Matthew Daecher is President of the Daecher Consulting Group, Inc. He is a transportation safety specialist with 21 years of experience in the transportation field. He holds a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Kent State University, with post-graduate accident reconstruction education from Northwestern University.
Throughout his career he has been involved in multiple aspects of transportation safety including risk analysis, risk management, and accident reconstruction. Mr. Daecher has developed and provided training to motor carriers and their employees, insurance companies, attorneys, and other groups in the areas of accident investigation, safety management, and injury and accident prevention techniques and processes. Mr. Daecher has also developed safety training videos and presentations related to commercial vehicle safety, fleet-based risk management, regulatory compliance and workplace safety.
He is an accredited deconstructionist by ACTAR, the only reconstructionist accreditation body in the United States. He has appeared as an expert witness in State and Federal Courts.
Mr. Daecher is involved in various safety-based organizations, including: the Transportation Practice Specialty of the American Society of Safety Engineers; the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance; and the Bus Industry Safety Council.
He is an instructor at the Bus and Motorcoach Academy and serves as a Board Member for the National Association of Traffic Accident Reconstructionists and Investigators (NATARI).
